I'm not much for striped tie with striped shirt. But, I'm no fashion plate myself.

When I wore ties for work in the 80's, paisley was in and I wore that a lot. My work uniform was chinos with plain shirt, then I would bring in color and design with the tie.

She looks so crazy hot that that pic is not fair -- it's hard for any guy not to just abjectly praise!

BTW, how many friggin' shades does she have in her hair? Was her stylist drunk?

Her bands seem like eye-pokers, which seems way too long to make any sense except as a goofy fashion "statement." You know she's gotta be constantly attention-wh*ring by sweeping them out of the way, doing the hair flip thing, etc. That isn't simply hair; it verges into lifestyle and signal flag.

Once hair is not just hair anymore, but an activity in and of itself, it becomes fey and tiresome.

If a breeze came along and blew that hair back in front of her nose and over her eyes, she would probably look nearly as sexy, but a lot stupider. But of course, it would give her a chance to toss her head and sparkle coyly at the cameras. And I guess that's what it is, *sigh*, designed for.

hahah Blarg, I think that is the point of sideswept bangs, and the longer ones in general. Constantly coyly peeking out at men from well groomed bangs is akin to "looking through your lashes", etc. I think there's a difference between floppy, unkempt bangs that literally look like choppy hair, and bangs that are clearly meant to be constantly flipped and are "run your fingers through"-able

You like paisley? Awesome.

Great writer, feisty poster, paisley lover.

I did some shoe shopping myself yesterday. I picked up two pairs:

Some Onitsuka Tigers

And some Diesels

I couldn't find any pics of these online, so they might be out of production. Regardless, I thought they were pretty awesome. Thoughts?

Also, I was toying with getting a pair of these, from Mezlan:

But they're a little on the expensive side, at least for my un-balla self. Are they worth it?

Fashion and I don't get along all that well, so I can't really contribute to this discussion very much

But I do just want to mention that my absolute favorite fashion trend of all time is girls wearing short shorts with words written on the backside. I believe this is a somewhat new thing, but also one of the best ideas ever conceived

I like the Tigers and the Diesels a lot. They look great. Are they comfortable? Btw, how much are the Mezlan's?

(you dress well)

The concept itself isn't that new. The '79 Arkansas Razorbacks Final Four team practiced in shorts with 'Defense' on the back. I imagine there are other examples older than that.
