On the one hand, I understand Lee is trying to 1) make sure the game didn't stall; and 2) make sure a player isn't harassed for remaining silent as is their right.

Nevertheless, the talks hadn't stalled the play up to this point and I do think that the money being played for belongs to the players, not Stars, and I'm not too comfortable with the director curbing chop talks (just like I totally disagree with the WPT's no chop policy and even stars' mandatory hold amount).

I totally agree with this. I was getting pretty frustrated with his [Lee's] comments, and thought about shooting him an email. I believe he has no right to do that. Even though gambl was annoying, he was not violating any chat rules.

Further, I think the short stack must have not had his chat screen open.
