Hi Lee,
I have had some success for a couple of years at multitable tournaments, but have not yet made "the leap". I am currently between poker sites, and have not opened an account anywhere yet. With that in mind, here are my thoughts: First, as others have so correctly said, focus on the casual players. The pros will follow the fish, even if they have to endure a text interface. (Please note that the fish might not like the text interface, though.) Second, take care of the pros, too. Several people have asked you to automate the final table deal making process, and I must agree. I was frankly shocked the other night, watching the final table in a tournament. They actually had to email somebody to come pause the game. Computers are really neat, Lee, and they can be programmed to automatically perform many such tasks. (Although, as some people have pointed out, in an all-in situation, there is ample time to compose and send an email, given the speed at which the final cards are dealt.) I think the fish would be more comfortable with this arrangement as well. Go look at Party to see what it should be like. What people have said about bonuses is absolutely correct. Pros like them, fish like them. Slam dunk. I want to be able to change my name from time to time. Party had a 6-month timer on this, which seems entirely adequate. And while I do appreciate the fact that you are here listening, that is measured. We know how much money Poker Stars is making, and we know the potential for more. So I accept NO EXCUSES on these items. Truly, I don't wish to appear rude, but while the owners are hopping around in their private converted 747s shopping for islands, if they could call the programmers and tell them to get it in gear, we would appreciate it. Thanks for listening. ~Teo |

1) Faster software (dealing cards, esp when players are all in)
2) Have default NL buy in to 100BBs, and increase minimum to 40BBs - WTF? Last I played there, I could have sworn it WAS 40BBs. 3) Have an Auto-Post BB and Wait For Big Blind Button, so you don't have to click the Post BB when it gets to you. 4) Remove the Time Bank. This is so annoying. I mean seriously... Sometimes I find myself using this out of spite, b/c someone else constantly uses it. 5) I kinda like the fact you can't change your screenname, but I think you should be able to change your avatar (even though I don't use them). 6) Make it so I can type notes in w/o it switching tables and having half my notes end up in another table's chat. Thanks. |

One possible alternative is not allow activation until a pot of 25 or 50 BB's is in the pot. |

I just have two suggestions, well 3. I think they are things that definitly should be changed regardless.
1. FPP system, its only fair for lower limit players to get credit for whatever rake they put in. It seems kind of silly that there is no sort of partial point system, although I understand it, still, its only fair to award it to them. 2. HU blind structure. please fix this or add HU tables to each limit, I think Ive been requesting this forever. 3. not so important, but a better filter would be nice for tables. be able to select 6max and such, maybe limits as well. |

Hi folks –
As always, we appreciate the feedback that you give us about PokerStars; it’s the best way we know to improve the site. Based on your suggestions in this thread, we’re making some changes: FPPs for low-limit and 6-handed tables <ul type="square">[*]All fixed limit tables with limits up to $1-2 will give the first FPP when the rake is $.40. [*]All NL/PL tables up to $1-2 blinds will give the first FPP when the rake is $.40.[*]All 6-max tables will give a second FPP at $2 instead of $3. Note this is not true for games being played 6-handed at 10-player tables – just 6-max tables.
Important note: because we’ve just made this change, existing tables will not reflect the change – only newly generated tables. It should take about 24 hours for most of the tables to regenerate so they all reflect the more generous FPP rules. Dealing speed We got out our stopwatches and compared our dealing speed to the competition; y’all were right. We are going to make some changes but we still want our players to be able to see what happened in the hand without having to look at the hand history. <ul type="square">[*]We’ve already implemented some changes on our “fast” (formerly “high-speed”) tables. We have reduced the “time to act”, delay between hands, and other parameters. You should find the playing experience faster and smoother.[*]We’re going to speed up animation for fast tables and turbo tournaments in the next software build (about 3 weeks from now). In the meantime, you can turn off animation if it bothers you.[*]The all-in slowroll. It’s gonna go faster – again, that will be in the next software build.
Again, thank you for the comments and suggestions. We’re always delighted to be able to say “yes” to our players. Best regards, Lee Jones PokerStars Poker Room Manager |

Nice work Lee.
I love the fast tables BTW; I've been averaging almost 100 hands per table/hour, which is on par with any of the competitors. |

Very nice changes.
Unfortunately, this comes right after I've found out that certain people are being offered a $1000 reload bonus, while those of us that have been playing at Stars are apparently not eligible for it. This goes a long way toward eroding my belief that you guys wanted to reward your loyal customers. One of the reasons I began moving most of my play away from Party this year was because of their bonus system which encouraged everyone to play at their site as little as possible in order to get the best value from the VIP offers. I am very disappointed that Stars is headed in the same direction. I have no incentive to play full time at Stars if I can instead play elsewhere (with 28-100% rakeback) and then come back just to clear huge bonus offers that are only available to the players who are not supporting your site. |

NL100(.50/1) and higher...minimum buy-in is 50BB |
