You play bad, man. Really bad. You wonder why you can't beat 5 NL? You should know better than this by now.

berate me. villian had crosshairs from everyone on the table and his play was terrible. i figured him for a low PP or some suited connectors. i hit my K and perked up, then he turned over the A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] i always try to make moves at the wrong time. frustration.

i also despise loose agressive/passives. there was one sitting at the same table with me during this hand and built his stack to over 1000BB but i could never get a hand against him, when i did, he'd flop bottom two or something and push every river while my AK was unimproved. he is buddylisted though. i even left the table and resat down to gain position on him. he seemed to slow down a little after that. Seriously, I'm not trying to bash you or whatever, but there is absolutely no reason to make moves at 2nl. Honestly, I've never even played 2nl, but you should just bet your strong hands hard, never bluff, thats right never. This play is just tilt/spew.

i do exactly as you describe and lose, i do what i did above one time and lose. im not sure what else to try. if i had won that hand, how many pats on the back would i get for "reading" villian. all of the comments you guys give me are results oriented to the point that it does no good to post crap here anymore. think what you want, i dont care anymore.

Rough day. Made a few bad plays mixed up with a ton of EV+ plays that all caught the uglier end of the villains range. I'm thankful for running good towards the end, otherwise I would've had a nasty hole punched in my roll (back to grinding NL50 again? no thanks).

I think I'm gonna take a day off poker (been a few months since) to clear my head. I'm starting to realize that I have some big leaks in my NL100 game, I'm not yet fully adapted to the increased aggression.

BTW, my W$WSF today was 32.5% compared to the usual 40%-45%, isn't that an indication of "running bad"?

Dude, take a step back. Don't play poker for a week. I know where you are coming from and I understand your defensiveness but unless you get over it you won't ever make it past NL2.

Take this time to think about everything. Then, start playing solid poker. Play according to the environment you are in. Here's a starter. Expand once you PWN:

Fold everything but AA, KK, AK. Treat every other pocket pair as a small pocket pair (set value). Play hands that do well multi-way (suited aces, suited kings, big suited connectors) if you can get in cheap. Fold top pair with these multiway hands without putting any more money in. Value bet if you have two-pair or better. try to draw cheaply if you flop draws. Value bet if they come in. NL2 is really simple and once you have confidently figured out how it works you can start adding more hands/plays to your repertoire.

yet you continue on. perhaps my sarcasm detector is untuned, but i doubt it.

if i play so bad all the time, why did every video i've posted get the thumbsup from practically everyone that watched them? that is another reason why i think a lot of the comments i get on hands where my play may not be standard but situational is results oriented. i've read tons of people that have no problem getting the money in with KQ against this villians range, yet i lost the hand so i am told that i suck at poker and should hang myself.

I am down 13 buyins at 25NL for the month. I am now playing 10NL because my bankroll is almost gone. Here are some nice ones from my last 900 hands (3 hours) at AP, which is rigged BTW.

KK vs QQ all in on turn, river Q for a $29.70 pot

KK vs A6 all in on turn, river A for a $26 pot

AA vs KK all in preflop, flop K for a $20 pot

J5s Button steal vs JT, flop JTJ, turn 5, we get it all in on river for a $20.70 pot.

jonnyy goes 40,000 hands with only 3 coolers, I can't make it 20 minutes. Last big pot I played at 25NL I had 33 and rivered a 2 outer to lose my stack on a 3-flush QTT23 board. I am literally losing a buyin within 20 minutes every other time I sit down.

I'm running at 2.17 PTBB/100 for the last 45,000 hands, which includes 0.38 PTBB/100 at 25NL over 17,000 hands and 3.3 PTBB/100 over 25,000 hands at 10NL. My winrate used to be around 10PTBB/100 back before the legislation. Then it dropped to 8, now it's down to ~6.

From 03/01 to now I'm up like $240 total from actual table play, and poker has basically been my only source of income. I will actually be busto playing microstakes if this doesn't turn around very soon. I would already be busto if I hadn't recently sold some stuff and gotten some odd jobs.
