I really don't think Brandi is inherently different from the majority of young hot girls. They are very very good at manipulating guys into doing or buying stuff for them or even just at getting attention. Is this story that surprising considering all of us have seen dozens of examples of these types of girls in OOT threads. The scary thing is that their twisted logic allows them to justify the crap that they pull in their minds. I'm convinced that Brandi does indeed think that she's an innocent victim that's been taken advantage of. No one remembers a recent OOT trainwreck where a girl claimed she was being stalked by some "creepy guy," who sent her a whopping 4 text messages? This is all the same thing, except much more severe of course.

Having said that, the blame doesn't solely rest with her. It's completely true that the only reason people help her, including all the "nice guys," is they want to get laid. As El D said, it's all a chain. Not to be clicheish, but it all depends on which level you're thinking at. If you don't realize what she's trying to do, you're going to get taken advatage of. If you do, like Tom Franklin probably did, you can think ahead and use it against her.

There are legitimate ways to get money and non-legitimate ways.

A mugger robbing people gunpoint doesn't make him "smart" or "crafty" it makes him a low life crook.

Likewise a prostitute/con-artist isn't using their wits to gain money. The people they dupe might be stupid too, but that doesn't make the crook any sort of admirable mastermind.

I'm 100% postivie Alex Levin hit the nail on the head. I'm sure she's totally convinced she's the victim of wrong doing and totally innocent and that everything she did was "justified" etc. The depths to which people can delude themselves and rationalize things is quite amazing.
