I would assume it's on the theory that the guys in the lineup generally know their roles, and sticking a DH somewhere in the middle would break up the rhythm?

That, and they likely don't have anyone good enough to bat that much higher in the lineup. If they did...... he'd be playing the field this season and not riding the bench.

No, you're not leveling us -- you really are that stupid. Nothing "sux" about Spilborghs, he's got fine numbers for a 4th OF. Hit .299 with 51 RBI, .848 OPS, in only 264 ABs...
