Haven't read the SOSH thread, but they must have mentioned Lonborg's CG 1-hitter in game 2 of the 1967 WS, right?

Beckett was fantastic, but the whole point of specifying postseason performance is that presumably the games are more important. And so if importance counts, he falls behind Lonborg, Pedro in the 99 clincher vs. CLE, Tiant's CG 1-hitter in the 75 WS opener, Schilling's bloody sock game...

Hurst had some great starts in '86 as well (not nearly as dominant as Becks, but just as savior-like).

What about DLowe's 6 inning, 2 hit ALCS game 7 start on TWO days rest to complete the comeback?

I think a lot of Sox fans don't realize how good D-Lowe was for them in the postseason over his Boston career.

Though I can understand why his performances were lost on some given Pedro's no hit relief appearance, Damon's grand slam, Schill's bloody sock, Bellhorn's pole, Millar's antics, Roberts' stolen base, and Papi's walk-offs...

Well that and the Derek Lowe face kinda overshadowed a lot.

But yeah, Lowe was clutch that postseason.

Hey Toro - were you able to find TBSHD on our lousy cable system? Charter told me it's "not available" in our area. I mean, who would want to watch the playoffs in HD, right?

IIRC he also did well the season before in the ALDS vs. Oaktown.

It looks like Guerrero is going to play right field in Game 2. Anderson may play in left.

Guys, I simulated this game and Daisuke gives up 4 runs in the top of the first.

Thankfully, two Ortiz bombs and a 3-run shot from Drew allows the Red Sox to grab the win 10-8.
