[ QUOTE ]
Asians are so different @ Canterbury. I noticed this after going to Cali. They have fun at the table in MN, which loosens up the game and makes it less of a grind. [/ QUOTE ] At CP you often hear complaints about "too many white guys" at the table. More often than not, these complaints come from the Asian players. I remember one hand in which I raised UTG after not playing a hand for the last few orbits. I was cold-called by six players, all Asian. One of the callers (Anthony) looks around the table and says, "one white guy against six Asians, no way you win." Oddly, my KK holds up. |

2007 September WPT Poker Open. The WPT Poker Open at the Borgata is slated to occur from 9/05 through 9/19 upstairs as was done for the Summer/Winter Poker Open. [/ QUOTE ] http://www.theborgata.com/Main.cfm?Categ...02CEB8EF66E9813 Planning an Atlantic City trip the first week when I leave DC for the summer. PM me if you're interested in going/sharing rooms or have advice on places to stay/good deals/advice on games in tourney time/etc. I've been reading up stuff on the pokerwiki and am going to talk to some friends who go there. The general idea will be to do several days at a reasonable rate. I might make a seperate topic for this as it gets closer. |

ESPN play of the day:
EP limps, I limp in cutoff with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], button limps, SB completes. Flop is T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB bets, BB folds, EP calls, I call, button raises, we all call. Turn is K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Checked to me, I bet, button calls, SB folds, EP calls. River is K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Checked around. EP shows Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I misread his hand as T with a Q kicker for some reason and muck. Button mucks his flushy draw. $360 down da drain! |

Thats when you know its time to quit a session. Even if you aren't tired or not paying close attention, as the muck indicates, doing something like that will be in your head for the rest of the session, and may even tilt you. Get up and go home!
P.S: You should probably be betting this river... |

Yeah, my head was all in the wrong place. It was one of those days where you make all the right plays at the wrong time, people are raising me with A-high against my TPTK and then a 3rd dude cold-calls and somehow catches two pair on the turn, all kinds of weird chit going on. People catch a random pair with their flush draw on the river which is enough to call down your 5-high OESD bluff, etc. You know how it is.
I immediately raised the next 3 hands and won them all and then got out of dodge city. |

I hope the gracious Commerce Gods let me win many dollars. Winning at 10/20 and losing at 100/200 really isn't helping me at all.

Howmany,
I hear you are a very good player and you deserve to win. Here are Caro's positive affimations: I will think before I act. I am playing well. I am making good decisions. I am prosperous. I deserve to win. I am focused. I give myself permission to win. + brick's bonus affimation "hell yeah, I'm gonna play the best poker I've ever played" |
