[ QUOTE ] Q9o seems like an awfully bad hand in that spot. Just seems dominated so many ways. [/ QUOTE ] IDK something like the Gus (A2o) would be much worse. With Q9o, Villain is going to be 33-40% most of the time he's called, and will be flipping against underpairs. [/ QUOTE ] Hand that, imo, are calling his shove in that post (given the gross size of the shove) are going be larger pairs a lot. He'll have one overcard or me grossly dominated a lot. Obv I have no idea how much he knows about J_V, but I would imagine he shoudln't be expecting him to call with like 88 a ton of times there. |

does anybody ever lay down a hand????? Hyon Kim Doubles Up Through William Spadea Under the gun, Spadea raised to 85,000 and, from the big blind, Kim moved all-in for 725,000. Spadea made the call with pocket Jacks, but Kim had the bigger pair in Kings. The {3-Spades}{Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} board gave the pot to Kim, who is now up to 1.7 million. Spadea slipped to 2.2 million. Richard Murnick Doubles Through Jeff Tunkel Jeff Tunkel raised to 75,000, Richard Murnick moved all in for 741,000 and Murnick called. Tunkel turned over {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, while Murnick flipped up {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}. The board came {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Murnick doubled up to 1.6 million. Tunkel's stack fell to 2.2 million. |

Wow. Lee Watkinson 4600000 +2300000 [/ QUOTE ] I am sure this is wrong created by an earlier list which had him hugely shortstacked when they missed off a "0" from his total. |

[ QUOTE ] And it doesn't matter what his hole cards are, reraising a guy big and then folding getting over 2 to 1 is absolutely horrible. [/ QUOTE ] Not necessarily. I'm not completely disagreeing with you because I've been a critic of that style too, but there are spots in tournamnet play where even if the math dictates an instacall with any two live, that it's still reasonable to fold if you're the big stack. It's situational depending on your opponent's range vs. his M, if you're setting up a play in the future, etc. [/ QUOTE ] I'm saying you shouldn't reraise that amount in the first place if you are going to fold to a push. |

The hand updates posted, and the hands in the $20 and $10 sngs I've been playing while sweating are far too similar.

Jeff Weiss Eliminated By Lee Watkinson
Watkinson made it 500,000 to go preflop and was called by Jeff Weiss. Flop: Kd 5c 6h Both players checked the flop and Weiss checked the 5d on the turn, but Watkinson made it 500,000 and Weiss made the call. The river was the 7c and Weiss made it 350,000 but Watkinson moved all-in for 2,000,000 more. Weiss made the call and Watkinson showed pocket sixes for a full house and Weiss mucked. |

Christian Togsverd open-pushed for 418,000 and Hyon Kim called. Togsverd showed {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} while Kim turned over {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. The flop was {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{4-Spades} {4-Spades} making Kim trip queens, but the {10-Diamonds} spiked on the turn, makding Togsverd tens full. The river was the {A-Hearts} and Togsverd doubled up to 940,000. Kim was down to 1.2 million after the hand.
