Cognac seems pretty high and mighty for a younger guy. I would make sure to bang my nose on the rim of the glass accidentally a few times, just to keep it real.

My unballa friends thought I was weird when I was pouring out of my hennesy bottle, until I dropped the name hennesy, and they're all like ooo we've heard that in 50 cent songs!

Young people are easy to figure out. If you've seen it on TV, or heard it on the radio, it's probably cool.

The only problem with a long island iced tea is the name. I mean you could order a drink thats 2 parts wild turkey and one part gasoline and youd still sound like a girl if it was called a flowered lemonade.

To the original question:

How has noone mentioned the GIMLET!!!!

My personal drink of choice is the Vodka Gimlet and it has almost no alcohol taste and still looks very sophisticated. I guess a regular gimlet (with gin) is good too, but I'm not a gin fan.

three measures of Gordon's; one of vodka; half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it over ice, and add a thin slice of lemon peel.

So I realize we've all gotten into a discussion and whatnot, but I think in answer to the OP's query (in the spirit in which he asked the question), we all know that a gentleman always orders a Steel Reserve.

god this is def the correct answer. I wish i would have posted this earlier. Beer is the most manly drink, bud heavy is the most manly thing you can drink.

To me a LI Iced Tea is an androgynous drink for people who want to get really [censored] hammered, and probably have sex with a stranger.

Wasn't that what you were pounding at 4AM at Hollywood Tunica?

i drink cognac, but cognac has two distinct markets:

1. old white men
2. young black men

if you are not one of these and you order cognac, you probably want to be one of them.
