didn't read the whole thread.... But...

Affliction shirts are the most comfortable shirts.
I picked up some Zoo York shirts and a Filter shirt from Buckle
www.Buckle.com

and Lacoste has these new shirts out, I picked up 4 today, they are a different kind of material, don't have tags, very nice, and extremely comfortable.

White pants. Do guys wear them? What kind? What occasions? What shoes?

Never owned white pants. Until now. I now have a pair of white cotton pants and a white linen blend. I'll wear them with tan loafers or with white bucks.

They're obviously only a summer pant, so I'll pair them with a silk sport shirt (think Tommy Bahama) or a linen shirt. (I second the recommendation for linen. I only have 3, but I love them. I definitely need to get more. Since I'm in CA, I could probably get away with them for more than three months (mid April to mid October, maybe).

The holdover of wearing white between Memorial Day and Labor Day is a Victorian holdover. If you're in a tropical climate, white is fine any time of the year

I agree. It just seems weird wearing white when it is cold and rainy, so I would avoid doing so in the winter months here in northern CA. The Apr to Oct that I stated above could easily be stretched to all year long in, say, LA or Vegas or Phoenix. But it seems a little strange to be wearing such clothes when it is cold and rainy, like it gets here in the winter.
