I think it's retarded that two strangers on a message forum are betting $1000 that some 3rd party won or lost.

what does that have to do with me leveling? Superiority complex much? I know everyone on this site is a millionaire and all, but $80K represents a lot of money to me. Just under my annual salary, and about $79,996 more than my average Omaha bet (4-8 half kill). So yes - IMO, that was a pretty bad beat. I suppose an ace on the river woulda beaten him too though, in hindsight. Still..the point remains. I'm amazed that he got called by A-J for that amount of $ in the 1st place - that's retarded in and of itself. Sure, he might have caught a H, but he had to know he was beaten....trip 7s, pocket pair - so many hands that beat him there and a 10% chance of winning with one of the 3 remaining aces or a heart? Is that worth a $25K call? Would you call $25K with that?

And then for the heart to hit - that would push me off the deep end. Guess I'm not as cool as you.

Fwiw- I concur that money is not likely to change hands here based on the details of the actual bets and problems inherent in it that have been pointed out in various places in the theard (holla).

I railed the other morning for maybe five minutes, saw you had huge stacks on some tables, got killed on some others. You said your winnings, it sounded plausible, some dood called BS, another dood called BS on his BS. And they laid the money down.

OK, to summarise:

We have Jman28, Inyaface, and raptor517 all confirming that he, indeed, won the 10K. From good2cu, we have a screen shot, and I have in PM his starting and ending bankroll which indeed are more than 10K apart. They are precisely as far apart, in fact, as the screen shot would indicate and this PM was before he had the PT stats available.

We also have a few additional people (e.g. Dean) vouching for g2cu's general trustworthiness and unlikelihood of being inaccurate in his representation of his results.

We also have highstakes's datamining, which does not cover 25/50 but which shows him being down 10K more than the PT stats indicate. Highstakes cannot explain this difference since he doesnt have access to the PT data, but his explanation is that it is possibly an error in PT, in his data mining, or somewhere in the site software.

My view is that the fact that the PM (which I can share if g2cu allows) is from before the PT stats were available and precisely confirms the amount won indicated by the PT screen shot, along with the confirmation from Jman, IYF, and Raptor, shows sufficient proof for me to win the bet. I think the data mining is inaccurate and highstakes, himself, does not confirm its accuracy.

In terms of obsession, it might be because 1k is on the line. That is still a healthy sum to many.

Plus, I believe it was TWP that actually proposed the wager, after Rolen seemingly just tossed out a statement in passing.
