perhaps during that 15 years, the only person who was insane was the so-called dr. his delusions were that he could detect insanity where no others could. any legit. dr., that is, psychiatrist, would not put out nonsence about "a single clue"........................b

The whole picture looks like a face with glasses.
The painter is paranoid. He sees his father, or his therapist, or even the face of god watching and staring at him as he paints. You don't see it in the first OP pictures, but you can in this more detailed photo. The power lines are the wire rims of his glasses. The tops of the snow covered trees are eyebrows. The sleds are a mouth or maybe a mustache. Etc.
