I moved up to this hellhole of a town for the radio job, and while I love what I do, I hate where I'm currently doing it. My fiancee just accepted a pretty plum position in Da Lou', so we're moving back there at the end of the month and I'll be working construction while putting in resumes for a radio/TV gig.

As for my particular degree leading to a construction job: the guy I'll be working for is a VERY successful local actor in St. Louis who makes money between gigs by rehabbing old houses in SouthCity. He draws his pool of day-laborers from other out-of-work actors. We all have experience building sets, hanging lights, and rigging speakers in the theaters anyway; it's just a matter of making everything a little more permanent.
