No one is suggesting it makes a difference when you're being searched. After all, lots of Muslim terrorists aren't Arab. So it really doesn't even matter if the police officer knows the difference because he would probably treat anyone with a Muslim name/appearance differently. That might not be the right thing to do, but it's reality. But that is not the issue being discussed here...

The issue is that 2+2ers calling him a "young arab w/ lots of money" aren't correct. It would be kinda like calling someone from Scotland Irish.
