We play some and talk a little bit. He shows me family photos, tells a few Cards stories...very cool. Very nice guy, but his life was really in the shitter at that point. Hope things have turned around for him since. Also IIRC, at the time he held some record for RBI/HR ratio for a single season.

[/ QUOTE ] The best part about Tommy, is that he may have hated the Mets more than I. I recall some story about Tito Landrum doing his wife and her getting pregnant. Never knew if that was true or not.

A few thoughts.
First, Bob Horner was a beast. Went straight from high school to the pros, no minor leagues, may be the most recent guy to do it, (excluding guys like Ichiro and DM) Secondly, Rolando Roomes was the first name to make me laugh at the thought of it. Billy Jo Robideaux also made me chuckle. Lastly, [ QUOTE ] Also, I previously posted a list of guys still playing that debuted in the 80's.
