a lot of walking between the holes, the actual course is 7k yards

though Im not sure there is 5k yards of walking betwwen holes each round involved

its probably closer to 4.5miles a round, maybe 5

There's more to it than just between holes. Most golfers don't lace it down the middle every time, and those yards in the rough, walking around the green, etc, add up.
