crosspost: tongni has admitted to advising hiv directly in the previous match. Tongni also admits to staking HIV 30% for the 4th challenge and to planning to take HIV's place against me.

It's funny/sad to me that so many poker players, or people in general, seem to only measure things like reputation, honor, etc. in terms of short term EV or immediate gain. There's a very small handful of people here that seem to grasp the overall value in life of being a good person, having a good reputation as an honest person, etc. It seems to me that the rest either were raised poorly or had some really unfortunate experience that tells them that they should be constantly looking out for number 1 at all times, and that all ethics are fluid and just held onto by "suckers" that should be taken advantage of.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'll stick to being a sucker.

You said that it was different unless NW told his friends "There is ESS. Go get him." I'm saying it's not different even if he doesn't say that. I.e. you are saying that their plan was worse than his name choice - I'm saying it isn't. You're saying NW's name choice is not scummy, but their plan is - I'm saying they are the same unless their plan is focused on one individual match where HIV has agreed to play, as in the OP.

So I'm saying that the OP is not scummy by thinking that it is scummy to have HIV play for tongni against GW but not in general - whereas you said that he was scummy by not taking issue with the ruse against randos.

The fact that people arent living up fully to the plan that was set fourth and the financial arrangements in it even though quite a few people knew what was happening and saw with their own two eyes is pretty sad to me. Everyone needs to come totally clean and live up to what the plan was and move on.

Just for the record, I am not defending either party and I dont think Gildwulf is "scum" as someone is putting words in a few peoples mouths that they never said. Gwulf is straight baller I think hes a cool guy and I got respect for him. I do think he over-reacted though.

I just dont think one party deserves to be bashed like that, given certain peoples history and reputations. And the events that occured leading up to this. If i was in his shoes I would have been expecting something like this and woulda found it hilarious. As I was trying to take advantage of a a degenerate and he tried to flip the tables on me lol.

Thanks for the compliment but you have a strange definition of "taken advantage of". I basically got home from work last night and made dinner and watched L.A. Confidential with my gf. I came on twoplustwo and, after reading coxquinn's pm, came upon a HUGE thread which basically was HIV calling me out saying I have no balls and I am scared to play him in NL. Explain to me again who is taking advantage of who?
