WSEX GM, can you give us a response in regards to WPEX's position on the recent developments?

Will there be any issue cashing paper checks from WPEX in the future?

Has anyone ever had a problem cashing a paper check from WPEX?

Does WSEX accept US players? Never thought of it as an option.

If I play (AA)4 and lose at showdown do I get paid, or does seventh also need to be an ace?

[/ QUOTE ]

You get paid, seventh street does not need to be an ace.

If I play (A2)3 and spike an ace on the river, do I get paid? e.g. my hand is (A2)34KQ(A) and someone has a better high.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, you get paid.

This is my understanding of the current rules.

The WSEX GM wrote earlier in the thread:

An option for a new look is in the pipeline along with smaller tables. We will also be adding new games in the future. Everything is possible, everything is happening, everything takes a little time.

I've never had a Neteller account. All my withdrawals have been via check. WSEX will Fedex a check, which I did once. It reached me in two or three days.

Other checks I've had mailed. This takes about five weeks.

The checks themselves are very generic. They do not say "World Poker Exchange". The checks are issued from a U.S. bank, not from Antigua. Your bank has no interest in scrutinizing the check, even if it is relatively large.

I have never had a problem in cashing a check from World Poker Exchange

In terms of deposit, I've only deposited at WPX once, but put money into Stars twice in the past six weeks with an ATM/debit card from a major U.S. bank and it went through with no issue.

World Sports Exchange went through the issues which Neteller is now facing years ago. They have workarounds.

There's a degree of risk in having your money overseas in this loosely regulated industry. In the hierarchy of sites, I'd consider WSEX/WPX to be in the same category as Stars in terms of service, reliability, trustworthiness and stability.

Perhaps more importantly, they've also shown a willingness to continue their business in the face of opposition.

Unsolicted editorial:Online games are getting increasingly challenging. At Stars last night (around 11:30pm Pacific), I saw one table at LHE games between 5/10 and 2/4 with a VPIP above 30%. There were many with VPIPs below 20%. Very few players are going to be able to eke out a winrate in raked games of these playing characteristics.

No matter how tough and talented the lineup at WPX it will always still be possible to make an adjustment to beat the games as all the money stays with the players. Wherever you play, rake has to be a major consideration in limit games below, say 20/40.

WSEX GM,

Any chance of adding e-gold or something similiar to your deposit/withdrawal options?

While it has some limitations I think it would complement your other banking options and totally solve any problems people might have moving money around.

jfk, thanks for the info. I agree with your comment about the reliability of WPEX. I've changed my mind and will not be cashing out my roll just yet.

And I also agree with your comments regarding stars and the rake. The current environment makes WPEX that much more +EV. I hope people will give it a try.

Also, has anyone used a debit card recently to deposit at WPEX? Has that worked?
