donald sutherland sat across from me on a plane to L.A. I was going to say something to him, he smiled at me, nodded his head, and I smiled and nodded back. That was that, didn't want to bother him and maybe have the other passengers notice him and bother him, he looked tired

Jimmy Connors - I was a ball boy in a World Team Tennis Event. After is was over he was escorted to the locker room before he had the chance to sign any autographs. I was 16 or 17 and most of the other ball kids were younger than 14. There were less than 5 of us in the locker room and he REFUSED to sign 1 autograph for the kids. Biggest [censored] of all time. No question.
The Jensen Bros. - They were in town playing at the indoor courts I frequented. I was 17 or 18, and a foreigner from Argentina was staying with my family trying to get a tennis scholarship. He was top 5 in Argentina at the time I think. I was just kidding, but asked Luke if he wanted to play doubles for money. He laughed, and said he'd play for my shoes. I had to take the bet. We won, and Luke left the tennis complex in socks while it was snowing. Three Six Mafia (Juicy J & DJ Paul) - In line buying shoes. They bought like 6 pairs, I bought a t-shirt. They said "wassup lil' nigga" I said "[censored]". That's all. |

Ric Ocasek of The Cars.
I was working in a camera store at Lenox Square in Atlanta. They were on the farewell tour of '86, or '87? I forget. He came in the store with (I figured) some groupie. They were picking out Polaroid equipment. He took me aside and pointed to our Sony 8mm camcorder display. 8mm video was pretty new then. He explained that he had forgotten to take the playback cable with him on tour, looked over at the groupie and said, "I really need to play the thing back in the room, you know what I mean?" We laughed, and I raided a cable from a boxed unit in back. Got his autograph, but (stupidly, as my friends pointed out) neglected to get a pic with him. I have another story about Sidney Poitier whom I didn't meet, but can state that he is one helluva classy person. Steve Landesberg who was on 'Barney Miller' was a regular customer for a while. Very nice guy. Other regulars included the mother of Indigo Girl Amy, met them a couple times. Moses Malone, Dominique Wilkins. The wife of Jerry Lucas was a regular. I met him once. She was a knockout. Last but not least, the cousin Jerry Lee Lewis married when she was 13. I worked with her making copies of her old pics from back in the day. She was at that time a real estate broker in the Conyers area east of Atlanta. |

I've actually met quite a few famous people from Michael Jordan to the father on "eight is enough" (most of you are probably too young to even know what that show is... Personally I thought it sucked).
If you want to meet famous people fly first class. |

Anne Hathaway was best friends growing up with a good friend of mine, so I hung out with her a few times just as she was becoming better known. She is just as gorgeous IRL.
Also, my sister (fslexcduck) and I lived two doors down from Michael Strahan growing up. Not sure how I never met him. Vanessa managed to tho, while he was walking his dog. Oh, and I met Douglas Adams when he came to my school to talk freshman year. Nothing special, just asked him a couple q's as he signed my book. HUGE fan tho (which explains my username). And thank you, Mr. Roper, for that story. Wow. I was elated at age 17 getting a kiss on the cheek from Anne, and you were [censored] Rose McGowan. I am so jealous. |
