You know about Louis Riel right? When they had establiched the majority it didn't matter anymore so they restored it.

It's likely there's no minority group in any democratic country in the world that's treated better than French Canadians.

You should try coming to the other side. Imagine the frustration of doing everything reasonable, and then some, to accomodate the desires of a minority, and have them never satisfied. You would fall over dead were Canada to treat Quebec & Quebecers as equals. I suggest you take a step back from the issue, examine the actual facts of the situation, and realise how good Quebec has it.

Except that your government keeps ordering more and more of them to be closed each year because your government's laws make it almost impossible for a large number of your english citizens to attend english schools. So they're funding them, but only as they actively try to close them down.

Only in their own minds. They're as much a minority as Italians, Greeks, and Germans are. However, they believe that calling themselves "oppressed minorities" makes their discriminatory policies to be justified as they are "just protecting their culture".

To be fair, most of the french in Louisiana were shipped there from Acadia against their will by the British about 150 years ago. I'm sure this is on CasqueNoir's list of grievances, along with Louis Riel's execution, and the defeat of the french at Waterloo.

You're right, it just makes it so difficult for people to gain admission to them that they close due to lack of students
