[ QUOTE ]
also too, I will never be thin. I have a large body type. You know how so people have have small bodies. I have a big one. Its just augmented by the fact I am fat. The idea of fitting into a shirt that doesnt begin with the letter x is unrealistic. I could chain myself to a stairmaster continuously for the next year while eating only celery, but im still gonna have a big ass body. [/ QUOTE ] As a fellow fatty, this is dumb. You will never be "small". You can be thin, in terms of body fat. |

The IAT link told me that I moderately prefer other religions to Judaism. That's not really fair, since I'm pretty sure that nobody *really* believes in totem poles. I have more hatred for religions that some people actually believe.

e, Who cares about "thin thin"? I and others are simply talking about being healthy and in shape. Why do you think you choose not to do that? [/ QUOTE ] Exactly. Show me a guy who has a fat gut genetically. He might have to work harder to turn it into muscle and get the fat to evaporate, but it's not some bone structure thing. Genetically, yeah. Unless I get bones removed I'll never be "medium" or even "large" in any dimension. But I don't have to have bitch [censored] and a gut. Those are *my* bad. |

[ QUOTE ]
i think the idea of exercise more/eat less and being too stupid to actually think about it sucks. you can eat just as much, but make it something that actually nurtures your body and gives it the nutrients that it needs. Otherwise you find yourself tired and hungry after a workout or when the day ends because you ate "less" potato chips than normal. find what keeps your body going and eat that. For me it has always been about sustainability. Being an econ major it works pretty simply in my head that if i go on some diet where I'm always hungry it will end up being unsustainable and i will end up dumping the diet and eating like a retard again. eat enough so that you're not hungry and well nurtured, but make sure it is the right things. [/ QUOTE ] I hear you, but as I've understood it, the level of hungriness one experiences varies greatly from person to person. Hypothetically, consider a person weighing exactly the same as you do and having an equally effective metabolism needs to eat twice as much as you to feel "filled", what then? I've never had a problem since I generally can't seem to gain any weight, but I'm nut sure it's because I've got a really effective metabolism or because I fill up earlier than people that are prone to weight problems. That's also why I try not to be prejudiced against overweight people, altough I'm sure a lot of them became that way through sheer laziness |

Z,
How many really fat people are there who are satisfying their extra hungriness by filling up with fruits and vegetables? |

Z, How many really fat people are there who are satisfying their extra hungriness by filling up with fruits and vegetables? [/ QUOTE ] Well, speaking for myself, I don't get really filled up by fruits and vegetables. I reckon the same is true for fat people, only to a greater extent. Of course, if I had a weight problem, I would probably discipline myself to eat more conservatively, so the point about laziness might still stand... |

[ QUOTE ] It nearly sends me over the edge to see them on the treadmill walking at a brisk 1.3 mph, sweat pouring off of them. [/ QUOTE ] WTF, man. You don't like seeing fat people, but at the same time are disgusted when they try to lose weight? [/ QUOTE ] It's not that. I can appreciate it if they stick with it and they are still there in March. But they won't be because they'll inevitably quit. Let's face it, they are not the most motivated sort. So for that few weeks they're just interrupting my exercise. |

For me it's:
1) Plate running over in the buffet line 2) Parking in handicap spots due to fatness. (Especially when you have a "Lil Rascal" anyway) 3) Talk shows where fat people tell you they are beautiful and to think otherwise is wrong. My problem is reconciling those annoyances with my utter disdain for the abuse fat children face in school, especially young women who are automatically a pariah. My heart truly goes out to them. So at the end of the day, it is a hypocrisy, but a hypocrisy I can live with. |

We should be more prejudiced about people who waste food. I have worked a couple of cocktail parties as a waiter (rich people parties). They were throwing food away and having a great time doing it! millions of children in africa are starving and you people throw away food like if it means nothing! (yes im talking to all you people in 2+2)
