How did this thread fall off the front page? I have to bring it back by whining:

I have just lost $500 to the lamest serious of beats that you ever saw. Most of it at $200NL so it's not even really a downswing, but here's an example of my recent game:

I have black JJ. Reraise an idiot preflop, flop comes J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. We get it AI. Turn comes 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], river 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. He has A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. WTF. And on and on like this. AA losing to Q7o reraised preflop when he hits a runner-runner straight, KK reraised preflop losing to A3s after getting AI on a 259r flop, river comes an A.

I can understand sometimes why people berate fish. It's stupid, but jeez it's hard to restrain yourself when they gloat at you after this kind of bs...

On the good side my wife has starting playing poker and she is amazingly aggro and remarkably good for a beginner. She's already beating 50NL after like a week playing (small sample of course, but watching her play I really do think she's good enough to beat it for 7-8 PTBB/100).

She is constantly taking people off hands and then cackling madly at the screen when they fold, saying "no points for being dumb!"
