Am I the only one who likes the red & black? I don't like the whites though; they should just use the old home jerseys as the current road jerseys and keep the home duds imo. Blue & gold trim looks cool on the white jerseys but the gold lettering on blue shirts is ugly.

OK guys, I got $100 on the Wild at 60-1 a couple days ago, what do you think?

With all of their offseason acquisitions I can't see them missing the playoffs. Figure the odds should be more like 25 or 30-1.

60-1 to make it to the finals or too win the cup? either way, its still a bad, sorry MrFeelNothin... hope the bet works out for you though.

I didn't like any of the players the Wild signed but they still should make the playoffs - Gaborik is due to have a sick year with Demitra, and Parrish should play well. I'm not sold on Kim Johnsson but he's better than what the Wild had before. That division, however, is now very frightening - I think the Oilers and Avs are going to miss the playoffs.

60-1 to win the cup is the bet.

I would respect your dissenting opinion, but your statement that the wild at 60-1 to reach the finals is a bad bet as well completely disqualifies everything else you said.

At other sportsbooks around here I have seen them going off anywhere from 50-1 to 35-1 though they started at 60-1 everywhere a couple months ago.

Triumph,

I agree the division is going to be even more ridiculously stacked next year, Edmonton will probably end up in last. Wild should make the playoffs, once that happens anything could happen.

Rangers Re-Signed Rosival to a 2 year deal, 2.1 million per year (abouts).

By my poor calculations the Rangers are sitting about 6 million under the cap. Still need to come to a deal with Tyutin and Hall has his arbitration hearing later this week. Still could use a LW too, not sure who is available at this point. I heard they might bring Rucinsky back.

Edit:

Just read that it looks like Rucinsky might not be returning.

sabres sign afinogenov - 3 yrs 10 million.

Sounds like a good deal for the sabres- defintely a better deal then 1 yr 5 mill for Briere. In value probably on par with the deal for Pominville.

Curious where the sabres go from here. Still need to sign Dumont/ Miller and haven't found someone to trade/ give Biron to.

JP Dumont is awarded 2.9 million in arbitration.

I'd walk from this award if I were the Sabres and I suspect they will. Either that or try to make a trade.

He was gone even before the number came out.

The deal for Afinogenov is good, if he ever develops any finish - he's an +EV player in the new NHL but still not by much.

The Sabres should have let Biron walk UFA - why tender him a contract and try to trade him? They won't get much for him, and they might get stuck with his awful contract for a while too. And if they were going to deal or let Dumont walk, they should have done it before this arbitration award, as now they have little leverage. Sometimes I don't understand Darcy Regier.
