Alan, I'm just interested why you ended up calling with K8os for the tournament? [/ QUOTE ] I get hives when people post in a thread without reading it first. |

Alan,
If you haven't already given up on 2+2, thanks for sharing your insights. For every one of the clowns hijacking this thread there are 100 posters who are appreciative of the opportunity to hear your thoughts. |

[/ QUOTE ] I get hives when people make posts about NOTHING/DO NOTHING TO HELP/ANSWER THE QUESTION! I skimmed thru the whole 20 pages of this thing and just saw bickering b/w smoothcall & others. If I missed it I apologize. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I watched the Wed broadcast headup action again just now. I had forgotten how beside himself Sexton was trying to figure out and explain to Vince (and the viewers) how Alan could have played that K8o for $6 million in chips. [/ QUOTE ] You might want to read Goehring's explanation for a context of the situation: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...Number=5953614 [/ QUOTE ] Whoa, undiscovered gem from that thread: [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] heh I thought the idea around here was not to be results oriented [/ QUOTE ] Sorry, you are right. My old habit of playing bad and winning money is nothing more than a vicious addiction that feeds on itself and can not be easily broken. Note to self-----seek help immediatley. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] okk now I see. Makes sense to me for the call. |

I finally got around to this thread (skimmed parts of it naturally).
Some interesting stuff. (and some annoying stuff in there too). Alan - I think much of 2+2 would be very happy if you stuck around and continued to share your insights. If you missed it being mentioned in this gigantic thread, Smoothcall has been banned mostly because his past behavior and inabilities to 'play well with others' has been similar in the past to his performance in this thread. I too would be curious to further discuss the 'left-handed' aspect and am almost tempted to start a new thread about it (although I'm not sure if that would be appropriate or not). Left-handedness runs in my family at almost a 50% rate. My Dad and I are left-handed. Both of my grandmothers are/were lefties. The list goes on. I hope you choose to return to this thread (or a new one) and elaborate on your thoughts regarding left-handedness and potential for poker success with unorthodox styles. |

Would have been nice if VVP or Sexton would have at least mentioned Quach was pushing a lot prior to the K8 call. 10-12BB opponent pushing every other hand, that's a marginal but good call. Instead they make Goehring look like an idiot for drama. Lame.

It was almost an instacall, but K 8 is def in the top teir of hands here esp. if Quach is pushing almost every button. |

I still cannot believe you would ban Qbit he was stating facts and not going for the hype. But something has to be wrong when you ban all of them but I guess that is your decision. [/ QUOTE ] Over/under on Smoothcall + aliases + new accounts in this thread before it ever ends? Right now, we're at 3 (Smoothcall, Qbit, MightyQbitbanned). I'll set the O/U at 6. |

There's a good portion of the WPT audience that doesn't know that there are hands between those televised, doesn't understand why the players start with uneven stacks etc. As I understand it, the WPT commentary doesn't exceed the scope of their televised hands because they don't want to alienate those viewers with the complexities of tournament play.
