[ QUOTE ]
Your buddies should be lucky that it's not a "criminal act". [/ QUOTE ] It is a criminal act; it's called international wire fraud. Who's gonna enforce it though. It would have to involve US cooperation and extradition for this to happen, which I don't see as very likely at this time....however, I wouldn't be absolutely shocked if did happen. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] something that just came up in my mind: If people like ZJ and JJ all ready had multiple accounts, what good is banning them? Won't they just make another fake account and continue? btw having 2 letter names is obv signs of cheatage [/ QUOTE ]it will make it harder. they will need to setup new neteller, new ip, new name etc [/ QUOTE ] Most IP's are Dynamic so that's not a problem. Find a friend that has no relation to you, have them create an account for you..ship'em $100 to make'em happy. They'll do all the favors ( deposit/withdrawl) etc. It's really not a difficult task. [/ QUOTE ]he now wont be able to any satellites because his new names wont be under justin bonomo therefore any satellite win is basically worthless [/ QUOTE ] Guys, is this really an issue? Justin is f'd because of this. Or at least significantly more f'd than he was, say, last week. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Justin has never put multiple accounts in a STT. I really don't even think it makes much sense to do that... [/ QUOTE ] I'm not following your logic. Please explain why it doesnt make sence (from an ev standpoint) to be playing 2 seats at the same STT [/ QUOTE ] I've never really thought the whole thing through because I wouldn't consider doing it, but it would seem like the payout structure would make multiple accounts fairly useless in comparison to their benefit in a MTT. There's only such much space to fit the accounts into the money and a limited reward. I don't really know for sure, but at first glance it doesn't seem like a high reward situation. Multiple accounts at a cash game table seems like a much better idea if your goal is to cheat. [/ QUOTE ] I'm just a mediocre STT player, but I would be quite severely embarrassed if I couldn't have a significantly higher ITM and somewhat higher ROI with 2 entries in each tournament. The payout structure does limit the benefit (vs. a cash game), but the benefit would still be significant. |

How many cheaters getting busted and losing thousands will it take until it becomes -EV for people to do due to risk.

Most of us realize that MTT's are the most difficult place to achieve success in all of poker. I applaud the poker sites for their newfound efforts in cracking down on those who are making this pursuit just a little more difficult.
Some of us play for the sheer enjoyment and challenges the game presents. While I feel all of us have been hurt in some way by those who have been cheating, I feel extremely sympathetic for those who are actually trying to pay their bills and feed their kids via this medium of online poker. Here's hoping online poker becomes a little more +EV for those of us abiding by the rules. |

International Wire Fraud ! Interesting !
All (ALL) his online poker winnings (and I mean all) should be redistributed to players at the tournmanets. Or if that's too much hassle, they should be confiscated by Party and put into the group that handles these cases of garbage. And for people who say he didn't STT, or he didn't cheat WHEN I played with him, well I have to start questioning your judgement, or worse, your integrity. Maybe you are a cheat too. Guilty by acquaintance. |
