Maybe he's better than you think. I would have thought that it's rare for someone to make that profit after that amount of hands, even though it's not a huge sample, without at least having a fair idea of how to play.

[/ QUOTE ]

I had a fellow 2+2'er running at -20ptbb/100 over such sample at one point at 100NL, which wasn't really the case

jonnny.... I dominated 100 NL, 200 NL, and then took a shot at 400 NL w an 8000 roll. I got absolutley masacred. I ran absolutley terrible and got outplayed on top of it. Some of those players are incredibly tough up there. So yeah I lost probably 5k and have a very depleted roll now. So back to 50 nl for a couple days and then 100 NL for a few more... and life goes on.... On the bright side I have been sticking to my plan of cashing out all rake back ive made. So through this whole process I am making money at least. How are you doing?

Slowplaying aces, I was thinking so long about what to do, but if there is a time to slowplay then it's here right? (this was against a decent TAG, I put him on TT-AA, AK) But I'm pretty sure he would have laid down all of these hands against a 4bet except for KK/AA.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

Hero (SB): $68.85
BB: $59.80
UTG: $69.85
MP: $50.00
CO: $63.55
BTN: $40.95

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
4 folds, Hero raises to $2.00, BB raises to $6.00, Hero calls $4.00

Flop: ($12) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, BB bets $10.00, Hero raises to $25.00, BB calls $15.00
My 2.5x raise was ofcourse an indicator for him to shove
Turn: ($62) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $30.00, BB calls all-in for $28.80
Uncalled bet of $1.20 returned to Hero

River: ($119.60) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players - 1 All-In)

Pot Size: $119.60 ($3 Rake)

BB had J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (a full house, Jacks full of Fours) and WON (+$56.80)
Hero had A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (two pair, Aces and Fours) and LOST (-$59.80)

when to slow play? If i have 55 on 566 board, should i call his cbet? And hope that he hits his overcard and get some out of it? Or reraise right away?

this play is never correct. are u simply missing the fact that i dont B/F here ever? If i check to u, u win. When I bet, you lose. So this play is bad.

[/ QUOTE ]

Dude, get over it. Maybe if you weren't so short sighted you would actually see I had a plan for the hand since the moment you called and I saw the flop (hence my read) -- represent a big hand in position and you'll give me the pot. You already admitted that if a ten didn't hit you were giving up the hand. You're the one being results oriented, because the vast majority of the time no ten is going to hit, and the pot is mine.

hu4rollz if you'd like to continue this tho, otherwise plz stop spamming

[/ QUOTE ]

I have to agree with goat_beard.....he c/r's you and then leads turn=he's not folding. He could have third pair and ur 22 still sucks. If he checks to you, fine go ahead and fire, but when he bets the turn OOP in an inflated pot he's not folding.

PSA: EVERYONE NEEDS TO START PUTTING HANDS INTO CONTEXT

it sounds like ur plan was a good one but u messed up with tha turn. yea tha call on the flop is prolly ok but after he fires tha turn with those type of stacks and tha size of tha pot at that instance i dont think ur shove is a good one. he just cant fold much that he plays in this mannor given what kind of odds he will b getting.

u cant bluff someone if they dont have enough behind.

[/ QUOTE ]

Turn's debatable, but that was never my original point anyway. I don't mind losing $$ based on a read, esp when my read is goot more times than not.

[/ QUOTE ]

your read goes out the door when he bets the turn, your read was is he is weak/will fold turn, but he bet. just think about it!

life at NL50 has been goot, playing/running well, gonna grind it out a little longer since it's free money and I need to make money now rather than deal with NL100 (ie this is my only job, so I gotta play where I KNOW I can win)

Yeah, so hard to move up, when you need to show profit ... a bad run can erase a week of good play, and let's face it, 50NL is much more than most working americans make (like thac telling about his 9.5$/hr job a while back)
