People who scoff at him because of the way he dresses or think he's stupid because he's uneducated come across as douches

he's putting in a [censored] of volume this month to hopefully let me ride his coattails for like 10kish and I bet if you stalk anyone in this competition you could make 100 posts a day on each person of their badbeat HHs.

Also, ike is dead on as expected

[/ QUOTE ]

what is ike even trying to say? I'm very confused. That lilholdem is a better tournament player than me? lol, that is obviously not true. I can't really tell what he's trying to say.

[/ QUOTE ]

yah, thats what i'm saying. you could write a better book on tournament poker but i think he's lightyears better than you at actually playing.

[/ QUOTE ]

fwiw ike (i think i've said it before) i think you're pretty bad, and anyone who knew anything would say i was better than lilholdem at even tournaments

[/ QUOTE ]

i think you're pretty bad also. if you ever want to take a 25/50 shot i'll be happy to play you HU.

also, i know 0 about your tournament game but in spite of having some definite leaks lilholdem is one of the best MTT players around. you probably aren't.

You stupid SSNL [censored] in BBV will not have 1% of the success he's had in tournament poker. Of COURSE he has leaks, but who the [censored] cares when 90% of the poker world isn't good enough to recognize them or exploit them? Tournament poker is about taking advantage of the money that comes from weaker players that comprise 90%+ of the community, not playing unexploitably or without leaks.

1. Who cares what he looks like? This is a poker forum, not a forum on how to dress appropriately. Talk about his poker accomplishments (which no one can say is a random fluke).

2. He obviously has a lower education level than most, and this is reflected in this particular interview. Again, who the [censored] cares? Does the fact that he can't articulate his plays/reasoning take away from his accomplishments or ability? As has been mentioned multiple times in this thread, being good at poker is often an innate and subconscious trait, so while he may not be able to accurately verbalize ranges or something, he has played enough hands that he subconsciously understands what he's doing just due to a lot of trial and error. In addition, verbalizing something often takes away from the "snap"-decision process (some call it gut), because like it or not, despite all the analysis and work we put into the game, there will always be players that were just born with that extra "something" that will be better.

3. He's a genuinely nice guy, although he gets caught up in the heat of the moment and says brash [censored] while playing.

Honestly, I think that a lot of the elitist cash game players from MSNL (I'm looking at you Aejones) and lesser skilled tournament players who only point out donkish hands from Lilholdem are outright JEALOUS of the success he's had. It must burn you on the inside knowing that he's worth 5-10x what you're worth AND HE [censored] DROPPED OUT OF THE 7th GRADE. Boo-[censored]-hoo, keep posting hands where he 4-bets all in with Q6o and cry about how good he runs.

This thread has somehow turned into an awesome litmus test for 2p2 posters. Everyone I already thought of as self-satisfied, closed minded prick who's not half as good at poker as he thinks he is, is coming out of the woodwork to bash lilholdem. All the posters whose opinions, poker and otherwise, I usually respect are defending him. If AEJones wants to start playing tournaments, I'll crossbook his action against lilholdem's in a heartbeat.

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't even read all the responses in this thread before posting mine. Me and Ike have spent a fair amount of time playing and interacting with lilholdem (online tournaments and a large part of the 1k-rebuy that lilholdem got 5th in) and compare what WE (me/ike) have to say to what SSNL and SS-donkamenters have to say. I agree 100% with what Ike posted here.

edit: I'm a pretty mellow guy but man does it piss me off when people with the brilliant combination of ignorant/cocky post stupid [censored], especially when they degrade someone who has a proven track record of soundly CRUSHING tournaments.

To all u guys making fun of this interview, he is obviously stressed in an interview where he wants to make a good impression and I wish the asshats here would just stop being so criticle. I thought it was a pretty good interview and shed some light on a very good mtt player that I was curious about.

Have you ever considered the fact that maybe...just maybe...this is because we don't respect donkament players?
