who are the most likely targets to replace him? [/ QUOTE ]Anelka and Martins have been tossed about. I think ideally Wenger is looking for a short term replacement with RVP, Ade, Walcott, Bendtner, and Vela in the waiting. |

only if more players leave. Arsenal played over half the season w/o Henry and they still finished above Spurs. [/ QUOTE ] spurs also didn't have their main back two for most of the season also. when you consider that both of their center backs are two of the best english defenders, then you can see why spurs finished where they finished |

[/ QUOTE ] I highly doubt that Anelka will go back to arsenal after the crap he pulled there back in 99 that led to Henry coming in the first place. Big Sam would also be an idiot to sell Martins for anything less then 13m GBP(I don't know the figures that are being thrown around for martins, but I'd think that newcastle would have to get a very good return on martins if they were to sell him after one really good season there) |

Rosicky missed numerous games, as did RVP. Literally only 3 or 4 players for Arsenal were healthy all season, Cesc, Gilberto, and Toure. |

i just want to say that as a barca fan, im stoked as hell about the acquisition. but i am really, really bummed we are losing saviola. he is awesome and we should have treated him much better. guily just kind of didnt fit in anymore and i dont think he is much of a loss.

[ QUOTE ] if henry goes then surely that makes spurs a better side than arsenal? [/ QUOTE ] no way. i disagree. [/ QUOTE ] i still think the arse are superior, but spurs are supposedly getting bent, at the expense of defoe. so bent, keane and berbatov up front. liverpool supposedly showed interest, but bent wasn't interested because they couldn't guarantee him regular first team football. bad news for liverpool fans, that means that benitez is still infatuated with kuyt instead of actually playing a goal scorer. |

I stopped updating my Premiership stats midway through the season, but Darren Bent was extremely overrated in them. Him joining Spurs may not make much difference at all.

bent will actually have a decent team to play with and players to give him good service as opposed to the players that he had with charlton. I do think though that his price tag is on the high side. I'd rather have a player like Nugent then having Bent
