[ QUOTE ] Any ideas as to what Juliet is supposed to accomplish in that week? [/ QUOTE ] I thought it was pretty obvious it had to do with sun's baby. [/ QUOTE ]Why do you assume they know about it? While I understand that the Others seem to be able to gather information very quickly, the only people that know about Sun's baby are Jack, Kate, Jin, and Sun. NOw maybe they told more of the Losties...I'm not sure. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] OK I have a question. If Ben has never left the island, we can assume he was born on the island. Yet no mother can come to term with her child before Juliette comes up with her miracle drug. So how the [censored] was Ben born? [/ QUOTE ]So far it seems that if the child is conceived off the island(but born on the island) everything will be fine. That could've been the case with Ben. Also suppose you were born in California but moved to the East Coast when you were 6 months old and lived there your entire life. I think its still fair for you to say to someone "I've lived out East my whole life." Or...Ben was born before "the incident" and they didn't have this problem before then. [/ QUOTE ] Just to clear up one small point - in 'The Man from Tallahassee', Ben said, "I was born on this island, not many of my people can say that." So yes, he was born on the island. Where he was conceived is unknown. Also, in this episode, Juliet mentioned that the problem seems to come from conception. |

Not sure if anyone mentioned this before but... The Company Juliette works for Milletos is clearly an anagram for Lost Time. [/ QUOTE ] Either you spelled the company name wrong or you're wrong. |

It's the company name that's spelled wrong. It's Mittelos.

-We should never doubt Sayid's intuition again.
-I still don't understand why Ben couldn't have left the island to get surgery or they couldn't have recruited another surgeon to the island like they recruited Juliette. -Jack asked Charlie twice "Do you trust me?". I think that may be a hint that Jack is not completely trusting Juliette like hes pretending to. [ QUOTE ] Do the others know about desmond and the hatch? do they know about the button/the cause of the plan crash? is desmond's hatch a part of the dharma experiment as well? [/ QUOTE ] He lived in the hatch for years, and the Others could monitor it(and I'm near certain they knew where it was). So I have to think that they know him. I agree with you that its a bit weird that they accepted him, but that was before Kate/Sawyer were tortured by them in the cages for so long. [ QUOTE ] I thought the interaction between Mikhail and Ben was interesting. It seems like he wasn't actually an Other, but rather had an arrangement with them. [/ QUOTE ] agreed |

Ben to Juliette at the end of this episode: "We've acivated the implant in Claire."
Just curious as to why they used her first name instead of last name like with every other Lostie. |

Just watched the ep cause I'm busy with exams (though I'll watch the Sopranos tonight come hell or high water). I really liked it.
- I agree that Jack might not trust Juliette as much as he seems to, but if he does I don't see it as a badly written plot hole. Remember that his recent experience with the 'others' is Juliette and Tom being nice to him and Ben trying to keep his promise (from Jack's POV) to get him off the island and even agreeing to let Kate and co. go even though Jack had nothing to offer in return. Meanwhile, his recent experience with the Losties includes Michael double crossing him, Kate sleeping with Sawyer and not heeding his demand to not come back for him and Locke blowing up his one chance to go home. - As for the information gathering guy that the Others seem to have off island, I can't believe that's how they know everything. There must be something else going on or they wouldn't be able to ascertain all the Losties secrets (i.e. Sawyer killing someone) just through regular reckon work. - I thought they would explain the plot hole from the season premiere re: how the others could possibly have gotten to the respective crash sites quickly enough to blend in (especially given that we saw in s. 2 how quickly the Other reached the tailies). - I really love running the series without re-runs, ABC says they'll do it for the whole season next year which I think is great even if it means waiting until January for the season to begin. |

just watched this ep. there is a lot of dumb [censored] in this thread.
it's pretty clear that she is not going to cross ben, she wants off the island, she will do anything to get it, jack and losties be damned. I think you all are deluding yourselves into thinking she will cross ben and unite with jack. how the [censored] is he going to get her off the island. it would be sweet if jack knows this and totally owns, but the way they have been writing his character lately it's unlikely. ps...no one seemed to mention this, wtf how did ben get cancer in the first place. pps no resolution with locke from 2 eps ago or whatever where he saw his dad in a room? wtf |
