One thing I didn't like was them going all in while blinds were 1k-2k. Everyone was around 20k. I suppose its the winner take all format that made them push like mad. Maybe offer something for 2nd place? That would make it a bit more interesting....and discourage that all in tendency we saw last night.

Um, pretty standard to push for 20K if blinds are 1K/2K...

This series is clearly borderline unwatchable w/o Tivo. Not only do viewers need shelter from the avalanche of commercials but a personal editing tool is also a big help, since hands of interest occur on PAD at about a 20% clip.

BTW, kudos to whichever ad salesman at NBC was able to book out so many sponsors for an 0200 time slot. They must have shanghaied him/her from American Idol.

Very good point ... no way I would ever watch this show without the trusty DVR, and since you can zip through it in about 35 minutes when you skip the commericials, it makes for decent viewing over a bowl of cereal in the morning. No way I'd watch it at 2 a.m. though, would rather watch Rocky III on TBS, even though the number of commercials is essentially the same.

The cash on the table makes for better TV.

No, the cash on the table makes for confusing TV, as there are at least a half dozen posts on this board asking why there is cash on the table.

Do you guys think any played that A3 right against Sheikah when the board was two pair? I probably would have reraised on the turn.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, she wasn't just against one opponent, she was against two. Huck bet out and it would've been against two opponents on the turn.

It's ok, I guess. Don't like watching Annie, Phil, and Sheiky play. Gus and Seed are fine, though, but who would know over all the whining. Seems like they got a Jerry Springer show consultant in to say what they think makes for good editing. If the bricks (I don't know if you can really call those weeny bundles bricks) on the table are meant to emulate some of the thrill of "High Stakes Poker" then they seriously missed the mark. IMO, even when they bring in a more interesting bunch, if they keep pandering to the lowest common denominator in editing, I will cancel this Tivo sub.

You but sorry for the insult. When your stack is 10x the BB or less you either push or fold, there's no in-between. Therefore $20K stacks at $1K/$2K means shovefest, wouldn't matter if they paid 2nd place.

Although this might belong in the stt forum, i respectfully disagree.

I dont think 10x bb is an accurate measure. There were no antes and the cost per round was only 3k. Duke's stack was 22.5k. Thats around 7x. Thats not near desperate yet.

I believe Zolotow's all-in call with KJ was ok. Gus had been playing tight all night and I would have rathered chose another spot where I could be the first one in. I believe he was 9k ....11k cuz he was in bb.

Sheiky's AK elmination. Semi surprised Huck calls here w/ QJh.

The reason I suggested a 2nd place money finish is because a winner take all does make it a push in fest. Since there is no point in finishing lower than first, it best serves to player to go for it.

I really dont see any real bad play except annie's all in with JT os. I really thought she had enough chips to move around.
