his goals reach far beyond the green felt. His plans for the next 5 years include learning to play the piano, to have one of his plays performed on Broadway, and to win a WPT title."

How the hell does that "reach far beyond the green felt"? Great reporting/writing by these guys. If you going to say something like that, dont include poker as one of the goals after stating beyond poker plaing.

From DN's blog:

"There was a "blow up" at the table next to me between Freddie Deeb and Haralabos. It looked like Freddie was going to clock him. For Freddie to get that hot, Haralabos had to do something to tick him off. Freddie just isn't that kind of guy at all, he is generally a fun loving guy... unless you piss him off!

I went over to the table and the people at the table said that Haralabos was riding Freddie all day long. Freddie then told me that he hasn't got mad at a player in a game once in the last two years. The last time he got angry at somebody... well, it was Haralabos!

I don't think Haralabos is a bad guy, but he has a way about him that can definitely rub people the wrong way. Based on the descriptions the table shared with me it sounded like he rubbed all of them the wrong way. Oh well, no harm done I guess."

Will someone explain to me what going south means? If it's what I THINK it means, it's not a bad thing, why is that such an insult?

Its a reference from HSP. Johnny Chan joked that Freddy "went south". It means taking some of your chips off the table and cashing them out, so the other players in the game can't win them back. Freddy went nuts over it, which is probably why people are bringing it up here.

Performing oral on a female, just like in the Mafia, it is taboo in the poker world.

Freddy is even cooler now.

That Haralobos guy is a real toolbox. Another douchebag to add to future polls about who the biggest current douche is. A disgrace to all Canadians with that attitude. Freddie should have clocked him.
