Bush will probably end his term with less than a 50% approval rating. However, the Republicans will still celebrate his legacy during the next presidential election and they will still win, to the continuing befuddlement of the Democrats

....Democrats who try to govern by polls.
Leadership is doing the right thing even if it is unpopular. I hope the next US President will be a TRUE conservative who slashes the size of govt. Bush43's "compassionate conservatism" is actually 'Democrat-Lite'. I had hopes Bush43 could be another Reagan but I'll have to wait. |

BGC has a point. Bush went on a speaking campaign to promote his Social Security Plan. You'll remember how that nearly died until he spoke in support of it. And now everyone loves his Soc Sec plan. [/ QUOTE ] Incorrect. http://www.pollingreport.com/social.htm <Insert slew of replies about "governing by the polls"> |

....Democrats who try to govern by polls. Leadership is doing the right thing even if it is unpopular. [/ QUOTE ] I wonder if poor Felix knows that Bush Jr. spent a record amount of money on focus groups in his first term? I enjoy people who think that only Democrats pay attention to polls. I wonder if he noticed Bush changing his stance on issues that polled against his beliefs? Like when he softened his stance on Stem Cells in his first term and continued to allow federal funding? Or how he's altered his Social Security plan because he was getting killed in the polls? |

If you really really concentrate and visualize as hard as you can, Kurto, he just might do it!

It doesn't really make much of a difference, does it? Its simply satisfying that it seems a lot of people are realizing just how bad he's been.

Democrats...?? What are those? Ive heard some reports of them being seen on college campuses, and other places were people that have never had to work and have no substantial experience in life congregate in large numbers. |
