I always wondered how he managed to have a live sniper round on his person in order to load his gun to show them the firing pin was removed. Wasn't he in jail and in police custody up until that point?

the fbi agent, memphis, slipped it to him when they shook hands after he came into the room. the funniest scene in the movie was delated but is in the bonus section when they go shopping
