[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Man, 2NL is such a unique game...trying to apply things like commitment threshold and pot control are probably going to cost you value. [/ QUOTE ] Don't let that discourage you from learning those concepts now though. You can just add in the 2NL donkey factor along with your analysis when making tough decisions. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah that is true. I guess the only issue that I see is that we are supposed to exhibit Pot Control "unless we have a good reason", and "they are LPP's that call with almost anything" is going to be repeated a lot. You are correct though...running through the thought process is very smart. |

Thanks guys, maybe i should bet the turn and river then. Why do people suggest making a very small bet ~ 1/3 of the pot ~ 8 or 9 cents? Is it because throughout the hand my opponent hasn't raised, and also he hasn't bet, so he most likely doesn't have a strong hand and that he won't be calling a big bet, only a small bet?

Don't keep this pot small. At NL2 people will call you down with worse Qs all day, and they could easily have a flush draw. If they do have a flush draw, checking the turn is a HUGE mistake.
I'm looking to felt this hand for value in this game. PS - I would bet full pot on turn, 2/3 on river. |
