oh yeah, is it still $10/hr to play? that was the worst! also, have they solidified a rule on tipping out of pocket? Two years ago some floor men didn't care, some were strict about it. Thanks again guys!

I've been told Mohegan is opening a poker room in 08. Is this the same rumor I've been hearing since the old room closed, or is this legit? Maybe some "competition" will bring the price of poker down? When the max buy in was $100, loosing 10% of your buy in to a seat charge every hour was brutal. And why can't you pay a seat charge out of pocket anyways?

3k roll for this game is fine for a good player IMO I mean your going to take some gross beats from time to time but I dont see more than 10BI swings but IDK 5k seems like more than enough IMO these games are super soft to the point where 2/5 is only worth playing on fri-sun nights IMO.

This is legit - Mohegan Sun is slated to open a 45 table room in Spring '08. I have no idea if they are on schedule.

In theory you can pay the seat charge out of pocket if you have less than the $300 max buy-in in front of you - by simply replenishing your chip stack up to $300.

No way this happens. If they are smart then they will use a rake instead and compete that way.

game is better for good players and still a joke. 2-5 is very soft, and 5-10 is soft on most days though the slowrolling regulars can really be annoying.

I dont disagree but I dont get why people make such a big deal about paying time I mean these games are so soft that if the time charge is killing your bottom line then maybe you arent very good. time charge only really hurts nitty players.

it doesnt hurt nitty players. it hurts players who adjust. if a table is super loose with raising and reraising preflop(which i see at 1-2 very often) then the players tighetning up get hit with paying time + blinds instead of just blinds. there has been numerous times where ive ran super cold and folded every hand for an hour and a half or 2 hours and have to pay an extra 20 bucks where in a rake game im only out my blinds.

To play devils advocate though i think the time charge loosens players up because they can play more pots and win smaller pots to help their bottom line more because nothing is deducted from each pot.

but to say time only affects nits is silly
