I play a lot of live poker and this situation comes up quite often. Not neccessarily throwing cards but just being generally abusive towards other players at the table. I always handle the situation the exact same way, if it is a bad player who is going to donate his stack to the table I let it slide. If it is a tight or even average player who is just being a jerk, get him kicked out.
The way I see it I am willing to put up with some [censored] for a few hours if there is $ in it for me. I am sure there are people who would rather see the guy go then put up with him and thats fine, I completely understand. However for me, $$$$ is the bottom line. -Jerry Also I play No limit, so individual clowns make up a bigger part of my profit then they would a limit players. Its easier to get all of someones money playing NL. |

Ask him for his SS# so you can send him a 1099, give him your phone number and ask him to call you at least an hour before he heads out to the casino.

"Qoute" Most notably, a couple of months before after I won a pot off of him
Bro, if it took you a few months to win a pot off of him, you have bad game selection skills. You should have tried much hjarder much earlier. |

Thanks for the replies - serious and non.
As mentioned, but probably not explained very well, I felt kind-of stupid not handling this myself. It was like calling Dad to break up a spat. Glad to hear I wasn't out of line completely. Thanks again. |

I was semi-facetious. When someone acts like an a-hole I find the best way to stop it is to slam them. If you try and reason with them they take it as a sign of weakness and it only gets worse. Calling the floor is fine.

[/ QUOTE ] i agree. i recently ran into a jerk like this who i knew would be a huge donator. he had already burned through one buy-in quite fast and rebought for $500 more. he had won a few big pots and was sitting on a nice stack. the bad news was that he was being a complete douchebag...splashing the pot, constant cursing, throwing cards, feigning chip movement, and threating another player with violence. he had repeatedly been warned by the dealers and floor, and the floor told him he would get the heave-ho if he kept up with the bs. as i thought, he was soon spewing chips, although not in my direction. after a while he started some [censored] with me, and after a little back and forth, i basically tell him to stfu, and keep his opinions to himself. i could have called the floor and had him 86ed but i wanted to get those chips of his. unfortunately they went to a few other players. |
