At what stakes do you think it's +EV?

If you're not comfortable raising KQo UTG @ uNL, find a new table or get better postflop.

Raising with KQos is only setting yourself up for harder decisions in big pots OOP, with horrible reverse implied odds. Toss it, and just loosen up on the button.

[/ QUOTE ]

doesn't mean it's not profitable to raise it and it does not have "horrible reverse implied odds." not every +ev scenario involves an easy decision

But do you advocate raising KQos in EP? I think it's generally a move that is -EV in uNL.

i'm ok with folding it or raising it. i feel like its good enough that if we're playing better than our opponents, that its a money maker. i don't like to play it without any reads. against actual good players, you don't want people to be able to put you on a tiny range of hands.

KQo UTG is 6 handed a boarderline hand. You can throw it away if you feel uncomfortable with it and you will not loose much value by doing so, if you loose value at all.

KQo UTG is a relatively big winner for me. I'm never folding it UTG. But you can't play it like it's AK...so I suppose it's a matter of comfort

I personally throw away KQo in that position.

as long as your not limping with it UTG i think raising/folding is fine.

I dont think your giving up that much by not playing it from EP. but others might say otherwise. table texture is pretty important. if you have a couple of crazies behind you opening might not be best with this hand.

I said this because looking at pokertracker, I was bleeding money in that position. So my fix was fold it.

FWIW, KQo has about 25% equity vs five random hands, more than its fair share. I generally raise for value UTG.
