Is this like back to the future, when you have knowledge of the past and can pick when and where you want to go back to? Did they have the lottery 30 years ago?? this game is kind of gay.

Can i go back ten minutes and not read this post?

I would choose to go back to the '40's....I don't really care what year. I'm not so much facinated by what was going on, but that life was much simpler back then. Our generation never got to experience simple living and I think that really sucks.

Anyway, I'd buy lots of those fancy hats with the weird flowers and veils and stuff that the flappers used to wear.

Flappers were big during the roaring '20's which is the time I would like to visit. I would also include a safari with Teddy Rossevelt on the agenda.

Here is what women were wearing in the '40's:

You might want to rethink this part. There was a world war going on for a few of those years, in case you weren't aware.

This is such a no-brainer. I would go back to the year before my birth and give the money to my dad and tell him to buy IBM and then sell it in 1986 and buy MSFT and that if he ever cashed in a single share his son would kill him.

After I posted that I realized flappers were in the '20's... but I am sure somewhere flappers were still flapping in the 40's

Gunny: 1945, then.

Don't forget 2004 and tell him to buy "GOOG" at an IPO price of $60 or so.

This is a no brainer for me.

I'd grab a Wall Street Journal and go back the Great Depression during the week that the stock market was at its lowest point and buy as much stock as I could for $3K.
