OK. What about this though... do you really want to make all your flop bets pot size? If you're C-Betting air quite a bit, which I think most people do, that can get expensive if you're always going with a PSB. And (some) villains should notice if you go with a PSB when you hit and a non-PSB when you miss.

No one said anything about making all your flop bets pot sized. The OP is a foundational concept which you deviate from quite frequently in practice.
