Well, pretty much any SEC game would be clutch if it's early on and both teams are still undefeated.
But how about WVU at Rutgers? Both teams *should* be undefeated, and visiting New York is always fun (in a non college town kinda way). Hmm maybe scratch that if you want the univ town atmosphere. Tenn @ Cal opening weekend |

I was looking at the 11/3 weekend, where I could go to VT vs GT game in Atlanta on thursday, and then the LSU vs Bama game on Saturday...
was looking like a good choice until I checked out ticket prices on stubhub... eek... any tips on getting tickets at semi-reasonable prices would be helpful |

I know you said no Texas games, but you should seriously consider TX/OU weekend in Dallas. Great atmosphere with the state fair, neutral site, rivalry game, 2 top 10 teams, etc.
If not, go to LSU/Florida. It's a night game at Tiger Stadium which is going to be epic. |

I agree with the UF @ LSU pick. LSU's fans are really cool, they'll let you eat their jambalaya, boudin, crawfish and other cajun food they cook. Cajun food is amazing by the way. Also, death valley is the loudest stadium there is, or at least the loudest one I've been to and I've been to a few. You will notice how much louder it is rather quickly too. Also, tailgating at LSU for a night game is insane, these people are drinking pre noon all the way up until game time.
I think your idea for a weekend is cool too. I don't know anything about VT/GT, but I am a recent graduate of Bama. Atlanta is a cool town though. There won't be any "cheap" tickets for LSU/Bama, its just not gonna happen, the game is too big. I don't know if you have a family or if you're a young guy, but the cool thing about Tuscaloosa is that it doesn't really matter. If you have kids, you can go to the quad which is pretty and has a family atmosphere. Not to mention that Gameday is an absolute lock for this game so you could check that out. If you're a young guy, the strip has plenty of bars and is walking distance to the stadium. The stadium isn't as loud as LSU's but its still big (90k-100k capacity) and represents SEC football well. Another perk of this game is that there will be more beautiful women per sq ft here than anywhere in the country on that Saturday. All SEC schools have hot chicks, but these two have the best IMHO (UF can probably be grouped with them though). I also think the red river shootout in Dallas would be cool too. I don't know anything about it though. |

Come to Tulane vs. LSU at the Superdome baby! Watch the Green Wave pull off the upset despite not having home field advantage on their home field!

Auburn @ UF the week before UF @ LSU.
Swamp > Death Valley & you could have a loss going in to the LSU game from one of the teams |
