raising the flop sucks, because all of those hands you're ahead of fold, and all of those hands you're behind call or raise. also, we're in position, so we'll find out just about as much by calling as we would by raising, and calling is a hell of a lot cheaper. we might even get to show our hand down if we're lucky. yay!
preflop, i don't make that call, but i don't think its that bad either. on the flop, i might call once and then fold to further agression unimproved. i have no problem folding there though, and i feel really strongly that raising is pretty bad. |

Why raise though? We either have him crushed or are crushed ourselves. Seems like it would cost about the same to get to showdown as it would to raise and find out we're beat by the better part of his range.
Calling seems better than raising to me. I guess raising the flop might discourage him from value betting big Aces on the turn and river and we might actually get to showdown cheaper that way, but it also stops him from betting KK,QQ etc, although I don't think hardly anyone is 3 barrelling underpairs here. I don't know, I pretty much suck at playing weak aces so I usually fold. |

I raise the flop because I'm a pansy and it's easier than calling a turn bet with no information (calling doesn't give us any indication of villain's hand).

Min raise should suggest that hitting the A may not be enough. I think without a nice suited flop for you or two pair or trip 7's it's a check/fold on river. I don't mind seeing a flop with this though.

Fold pf against a player with those stats... As played I think u can fold the turn. I like calling the flop in position here, but another barrel from this type of player means ur behind in most instances
