I've played O8 a decent number of times at Winstar now (all but I think 1 profitable, too!) and most of the dealers handle it ok, though you get a few dealers who stop at 2 cards and have to be nudged. Every now and then you get a n00b dealer who locks at the part of determining the low with counterfeited cards and quarters and such.

Sirtimo: My cash game is on Friday nights and seems to be making lately, so it's unlikely that I'll be in Thackerville. [/ QUOTE ] We're going thru Sunday so if you get up there... |

If there are enough people going up there to be pretty sure an O8 game will run, I will go up there too.

Went to Winstar for the first time this week. Nice room, well run and decent dealers.
Not the most space between tables, but I do like playing 9-handed. Plenty of action at 1/2NL (100-200) with players constantly coming in. Lots of short-buys though. The food was not good, and the service was slow. No alcohol, but free soft drinks. |

Well, all you people who say you would play O8, let's get a regular weekly game going!
Again, Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, or Sunday work best for me. |

All the dealers were competent, although only one (Joellen?) knew how to send an extra chip in a split pot. The problem wasn't so much the dealers as the kill. The game was presented as 5-10 fill kill, but nobody in management could agree on how it would work. First dealer wanted to give a leg for a scoop and a kill for two in a row. Brush wanted one scoop over $60. Floor wanted one scoop over $50. Some wanted kill to act in turn, others wanted kill to have last action. Kill was eventually voted off the table by players hoping to end the arguing and speed up the action. It was a good game for a few hours until the action players went broke or left in frustration. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'd like to be part of a weekly Omaha/O8 game... just not sure I want to play in Denton in someone's garage. If I am going to drive that far, I might as well go the rest of the way to winstar. However, if something gets put together, I would probably be in. |

On Friday nights, we don't play in a garage... it's in my kitchen these days. The O8 game I'm talking about is for playing at the Winstar.
