I would probably raise to $12 preflop - it makes the rest of the hand a little easier and you can normally just take it down right there. As played, when I flop TPTK OOP in an unraised pot, I like to lead out and find out where I am. I'm NEVER looking to play a huge pot unless I drastically improve my hand, or if I'm up against a total fish, and checkraising the flop just bloats the pot and puts you in a weird spot when called. On the other hand, a checkraise is great if you have a better hand like 2pair or a set.
As played, it's impossible to know where you stand by check-calling each street, and I probably fold to that river bet. Sure looks like he had a draw that got there. |

Looks like he picked up a flush draw on the turn, bet to get some money in the pot, and then bet hard when it hit. I fold this.
I like the check pre-flop, but I lead the flop for $6 here. AJ has burned me plenty, and I want to know where I stand right up front. |

[/ QUOTE ] Not bad advice, if you are truly stuck and you think its that close then use a randomiser to tell you your move. At least that way you vary your play. |
