2 days? Not so old.

Closest thing I know was on one of my trips to Tunica I met about a half dozen "Sup Bros".

I once thought about doing something on the lines of a 2+2 hospitality room at Caesar's IN during the Circuit event or Midwest Regional.

Eh B&M moves topics quick, hate to bump one that's slid a ways.

In any case, that's good to know, maybe we could try something in the near future. I have very little experience in the area, but I guess it's something to think about.

The last five or six times the bad beat hit at Caesar's IN it was quads that got beat or top and bottom end of a straight flush. so raising the qualifier has very little impact. The qualifier was Aces full of queens previously.

No one can say, Rake is better or time drop is better because it depends entirely upon your style of play.

If you're TAG, rake is better but if you like to splash around, time charge is better. So like so many other questions regarding poker, the answer is, it depends.

Intresting....it seems that I said in my post that I

This is much worse then raking the pot. I play a very TAG game , and this causes me to pay 6$ every half hour even if I don't play 1 hand that down. Its not unusual to not play a hand for 2-3 orbits, and your lucky to get that live even with auto shufflers. Taking 5$ a pot is much better. Thats what they just switched to here at the Majestic Star.

I was answering from my point of view, but I still think regardless, that the 6hr$ is sick, it takes a full buy in off the table ever hour where I play(100$ max). I wouldnt mind hitting that place up someday, then again I have 18 month old triplets, so who am I kidding....

I think it would be fun to have a meet up. Anyone know how to proceed? At least a day/night or weekend at Caesars or one of the others? How do these ideas take hold?

Well first we need interest. Anywhere from 8-20 is a good number, being that there aren't too many of us in the Midwest, I'd guess we could pull together 10ish. Then we have to pick a spot. Like I said above, the good news is that we have a ton to choose from (Well I do, I'm in Central IN ) but we all get together and decide what is best for all of us. Then we call that casino and ask if we produce the people, would they be willing to spread a game for us (say 2/4 limit HORSE or whatever).

After that we have to find a date that we all are free on, this is obviously going to be a weekend of some sort. We can each choose if we want to stay the weekend or not (poor college kid here, hotel rooms are probably out), but in any case, we pick the night that we all want to meet up and head out. Certainly we'd probably want to pick a spot to meet or exchange info on what we're wearing or something so we can spot each other.

Just my take, I have no actual experience in setting one of these things up.

It helps if you are actually in the poker room when you say you will be.

Sorry Javanewt couldn't resist.

The times I met people at Tunica, I just posted my picture here on 2+2 and told everyone to stop and say hello.

I can probably get something going at Caesar's IN or if you want to meet at Tunica, I sure Chiprr777 will be glad to see us at the Shoe.

Funny. I played from 8 pm until 5 am Friday/Saturday. Saturday from 1 pm until 7:30 pm. Saturday/Sunday from 10 pm until 5 am. And then Sunday from 1:30 pm until Monday morning at 1 am.

34 hours of poker, and when do you decide to show up? LOL I looked all over for that darn hat!

I'm in for Caesars. Not sure when/if I could make Tunica. Never been, so hope I can give it a try.

How did I not see you? Probably paying too much attention to the table.

I actually sat down a little after 8:00. My bf showed up at 9:00 and was sat at another table (thank goodness). If I remember correctly, I was in the second row from the right, second or third table back. I had my back to the slots. (I only remember this becasue Pete came up behind me when he got there.)

I probably just wasn't looking around enough

Darn, that stinks.
