You should bet the turn IMO, also I prefer checking the river with the intention of calling, fold as played.

I would bet the turn and c/c the river. I don`t see how there is value in a river bet.

He has to fold a lot of hands to the 2nd barrel. If I check I am intending to raise.

since he might very well float with these stacks on this board, we have a nut flush draw and might get well paid of if he calls and we hit the river and the board is paired so its easy to fold to a substantional raise. Also we are OOP.

If you raised preflop because he was getting over agressive, I could see a repop every now and then, but a7 is pretty much garbage to play out of position. However, the way played, I would probably bet the turn also. I would have checked the river. If he made a bet I would probably call. Certainly do not reraise his raise.

i third the 2nd barrel

why do people like the 2nd barrel? this isn't the kind of board where villain is going to call the flop with 44 because it probably missed me. also this deep Jx is always flat calling, and overpairs might also.

why are we folding the river? Guy has A9/AJ always?

Board is pretty drawy and given depth vill is likely to have raised the flop with a set or strong flopped hand. We have A-xc so he doesn't have AKc or a better A-x unless he floated this drawy board.

Also, second barrel the [censored] out of this hand as others have said, but for the reasons I have said.

I also think vill is more likely to expect you to check/call with A-x here than to bet with it which is why his bluff makes soooooooooo much sense against your average opponent.

oh and, don't 3-bet this opponent with A7c oop, it's pretty bad as although you haven't tangled he doesn't seem like the kind of player not to be paying attention, probably a casual player that things your a maniac.
