So you have posted in three threads. One about bouncing an ACH to a sportsbook, this thread and another about tilting away $59,000 playing online blackjack. We should believe this collection is not legit?

Pay your debts. When players scam gambling sites not only do others pay the cost through higher rake, fewer bonuses and fewer promos you also hurt everybody involved in the affiliate business, all the way down to the rakeback players.

If you can afford to tilt off $59,000 you can pay your $7000 gambling debt. It's not going to just go away.

yeah i was on drugs when i did that with the bj, so i didnt care..

On the other hand gambling debts aren't enforcable in the US, so you ought to be able to prevent the collection agency from reporting.

[/ QUOTE ]

If they do report, is it possible to have it removed?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would say yes, but that's something of a wild-ass guess. Anyone in this sort of situation ought to consult an attorney.

Homer: You know, Marge, for the first time in our marriage I can finally
look down my nose at you. _You_ have a gambling problem!
Marge: That's true. Will you forgive me?
Homer: Oh, sure. Remember when I got caught stealing all those watches
from Sears?
Marge: Hmm.
Homer: Well, that's nothing, because _you_ have a gambling problem! And
remember when I let that escaped lunatic in the house 'cause he
was dressed like Santa Claus?
Marge: Hmm.
Homer: Well _you_ have a gambling problem!

Seriouly though

I do not see why a foreign company can not do business with a US company. Many US companies do business with foreign companies. The Japanese company Honda builds a lot of cars in the US. General Motors builds cars in Europe.

A minor contract to collect a debt by a collection agency for a foreign company isn't exactly a violation of the WTO.

Actually it probably will just go away, there is about a 0% chance they can actually do anything to this guy over this.
The right thing to do is probably to pay, but just like Homer said in the other thread, had you won and then the ACH bounced you would have been freerolled 100% of the time, so I wouldn't feel too bad about it.
The stuff about other players paying the costs through higher rake is a total joke. If nobody ever scammed a gambling site, I can guarantee the rake would be exactly the same (several times higher than it would need to be to break even) and the odds would not improve on any of the casino games. Online gambling is the second highest profit-margin industry in existence. Furthermore most of these sites have no qualms about screwing their customers/affiliates when it comes to payouts as I have seen numerous times on this forum and others. Really there is no moral obligation.

OK so when a players charges back $7000 the site passes this on to the affiliate and players. This $7000 gets deducted from the affiliate's MGR. This wipes out a massive amount of profit. Also the biggest thing rake goes towards is fraud. I can't imagine how in the world you can think that doesn't get passed on.
