this kinda makes my shake my head in confusion too. but I fold.

I see you losing or splitting if hes bad. i mean, can he EVER be bluffing? sure doesn't seem like he ever gets here with a worse hand that value pushes. cant see him ever not betting a lone 8 on this river (if he even gets there with an 8 given the action) JJ /66/88 are all possibilites.

but doesn't it look like i'm kinda fos too?

I also don't understand why you raise the river - what do you beat that you think will call your river raise?

[/ QUOTE ]

someone just bet 20 into a 1000 pot and we have a straight?

I think kanye is shoving with three 8s here often enough to call. I think that 20 bet gets raised often enough for kanye to value shove or am I way off

eh, yeah, except in rare circumstances, i just treat these as a check and if jrb had checked i would definitely be betting this river. there are a few guys who use them to induce action, but they are easy to spot.

I agree. I have logges < 5000 hands in 10-20 but in my experience in msnl games these minbets into big pots get reraise a very high percentage of the time. Given the passive action on turn and river, I think Kanye is very capable of shoving a lone eight or even air. But I have never played w/ him before either.

What's our plan then? Hope to get called by 8x, but we fold to a shove because it has to be a full house or what?

If this was a no brainer, then OP wouldn't be starting this thread.
