it's gotta be a call and not close: from what i've seen of jamie, he frequently randomly leads the river when he does not have the lead in the hand as a bluff

if he's going all in in the dark, the least you could do is call in the dark, too

(1) I really wish i had 25k to sit in this game, because 10 hours later i would have $125k.

(2) Hands he could have: AA (min raise UTG, just like in .10/.25 party), KQ-KT, maybe K9s, or some other dumb [censored] hand like 96s.

However, i do not think this is total air, he is not calling the reraise on the turn w/ a draw then betting 10k into a 21k pot on a completely blank river.

He seems to overplay his top pair hands so i am assuming he has this, or probably some [censored] hand that made 2 pair. K6s maybe?

50/100 game at the bellagio...we basically sat down a few minutes earlier...i am sitting with about 22k and jamie slightly covers...

i know people are probably going to hate preflop - and i understand this sentiment...i was trying to get a feel for the table since we all just sat down...also, preflop i missed whether gold made a minraise or if he straddled (yes, bad...and uncharacteristic)...anyways,

gold makes it 200 UTG, i call with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]...2 more callers and the bb completes..pot to the flop is 1100

Flop - K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

jamie checks, i bet 1000...everyone folds to jamie who calls

pot 3100...turn is the 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

jamie immediately leads for 3k...i think for a minute and make it 10k...jamie looks at me and says "you make it 10k?" and then turns to the dealer and says "he made it 10k? Ok, i call" in that frantic sort of Jamie Gold way...

pot is now 23,100...before the river card is dealt, Jamie says "I'm just going to go all in"...river is the 2d

comments on the hand? what range of hands do we put jamie on?

[/ QUOTE ]

Preflop is fine as long as you occassionaly back raise.
Flop is good. Turn I would probably "just call." The problem is, your hand is much better suited as a bluff catcher (since it's only one pair), and by just calling on this draw heavy of a board he will be induced very often into bluffing rivers. Also, you don't want to give him a chance to get away from a hand like KQ-10. Basically, vs. Jamie unless I was able to cut through his double and triple reverse psychology to get a good read (he reminds me so much of NYU Dave), I would call turn and call almost any river. You generally will make more money when you are ahead and lose less when behind with this line, as opposed to the one you took.

As played, you have to call.

Say hi to all the guys out there for me, wish I could be there,

u have 22k.. and u put half ur stack in on the turn, with lots of draws out, and now you want to fold? fwiw, if i butchered the hand this bad, i would call the river 2d for SURE.

[/ QUOTE ]

Even though it's JG,and completely mis-played on all streets, its a still call IMO.Our 22k+ in the pot "might" still return because it is still JAMIE GOLD.

Why the raise on the turn, and then question the 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] river call?

Jamie prolly had a pair with a draw. Sounds like you lost, 92 of spades?

You're suppose to call btw.
