Do you like the Lounge per se, or the fact the gals congregated in one thread (or something else)?

[ QUOTE ]
1. Do you feel more or less angry lately? Generally and specifically, if you'd care to elaborate. 2. If changes there be, do you like them, regret them, or both. Be specific. 3. Do you anticipate gaining or losing momentum regarding such matters, or any possible reversals in direction? 4. How much under your control do you feel any of this is? 5. Are you at all pissed at anyone in particular these days? Bonuses apply if any of the answers turn out funny. [/ QUOTE ] 1) That's hard to say. Define 'lately.' 'Lately,' I guess, consists of relative calm and good spirits, after six months of light-to-moderate madness, after four months of dull grief, after four months of acute grief. I'm definitely less emotional; I'm not sure I'm less angry, per se. It may well be that grief and depression have subsided, but anger yet remains. Specifically, certain topics regarding relationships and the sexes piss me off in a hurry, but that's been true for quite a while now. 2) Changes in what. My anger level? I think I'm in the best psychic-emotional place I've been in quite a while, so that's good. 3) The future is very cloudy. I decline to speculate. 4) The idea of 'control' over one's emotional state strikes me as odd. The hallmark of emotional responses are their authenticity - you don't control them, they just happen. To me, what you're asking is something like - are your emotional responses especially wild/erratic lately, and my answer to that is no, certainly not by the standards of my recent graph. 5) Nope! You're all just symbols. |

[ QUOTE ]
If you could teach one thing to mankind, what would it be and why? [/ QUOTE ] All that would be of true value to mankind, is not within my power to teach. For all the important stuff, I direct you to Baha'u'llah. There is no category of human knowledge which I feel to be A) well within my competence to teach and B) of real benefit to the masses. |

Why did you drop out of law school? [/ QUOTE ] The material is lame. The people were lame. The professors were lame. I'm far more sympathetic to lawbreakers than law-makers. It was a terrible mistake. |

[ QUOTE ]
Name one person from history you would like to trade places with. You get to live his or her life and he or she gets to live yours. If you could change a few things about his or her life and experiences which would you change and why? If he or she could change your life and experiences up to this point what do you think they would change? [/ QUOTE ] Jesus Christ, Stu, way to throw me a nice hard slider. The immediate flip answer would be, respectively, 'Abraham Lincoln' and 'not go to the theatre,' but as much as I admire our sixteenth President, I do not envy him his life. I need to think about this, and come up with some awful example of a mistaken life. |
